As the top celebrity for inspiration on our survey, Lucy Mecklenburgh was our go-to girl for make up ideas for the shoot. As a true Essex girl, Lucy likes big hair, big lashes and lots of make up, but taking into consideration that our model needs fairly neutral make up that will go with all of the dresses, we looked at some of her more toned down looks:
Lucy is a big fan of neutral/brown smokey eye make up and so this is a look we're going to communicate to the make up artist on the day. The model is going to wear false eyelashes and pencil in her brows slightly to emphasise the eyes and give a glamorous look appropriate for a prom. In terms of lips, again, we must take into consideration the fact that all looks need to go with each dress and so a neutral/pink/fleshy colour will be enough to make the lips look fuller without them taking over and looking 'too much.'
For hairstyle inspiration, we looked much wider at general hair ideas and decided on a range of both down and up-do's. Here are some of our favourites:
