Dress Selection

With the survey findings finally being concluded, this meant that we were then ready to select the dresses from the site that we found most appropriate  linking back to the findings of the survey. We also had to maintain a younger perspective selecting dresses that would fit the 'prom' feel/mood.

The aspects we considered when looking for our dresses included:

• Lucy Mecklenburg inspiration
• Long, maxi length with the occasional short/midi dress
• Body-con or straight-cut style
• Swarovski crystals
• Blue, black and red being the main colours
• Mixture of both short and long sleeved
• Cost - budget of around £300

From this, we then had a group meeting and analysed the dresses within the Gorgeous Couture website selecting dresses that met all of these requirements in some way or other. When doing so, these are the dresses we picked out.

Here are the six dresses that we selected. The reason why we chose six was to ensure that we had a variety to shoot and also to allow the models to swap trying out all the dresses between themselves. However, we have emailed Amy who works within Gorgeous Couture with this selection to see if they are available and waiting for a reply from her. Hopefully all of these will be available but if for whatever reason they are not, as long as we have at-least 3/4 dresses we should be fine.

We now need to await the reply and organise models whilst also planning the photoshoot ensuring that we are fully prepared for shooting on the 12th.
