Our survey results concluded that Lucy Mecklenburgh from The Only Way Is Essex was the most popular celebrity influence in terms of occasion wear. Her style is very classic and sophisticated, plus she knows how to dress properly to suit her body shape. In terms of occasion wear, Lucy usually opts for full length maxi dresses, which could also suggest why full length prom dresses came out top on our survey. They're always bodycon and form flattering in an array of colours. In addition, they are usually incredibly glittery or have some element of crystal detailing on. Being one of the stars of TOWIE, Lucy is always dressed up to the nines with her hair and makeup looking perfect. She tends to go for a smokey eye a lot and nude lips, which could be a direction to take our makeup and hair with in terms of our photo-shoot. She has also worn a Gorgeous Couture dress (bottom right), as have many of the TOWIE stars. Lucy fits in with the brand's target market so it bodes well that she came out on top on our poll.
Lucy's off duty style is still very form flattering and body-con, though she tends to wear more midi and mini dress/skirts in the day time. Her 'off duty' look could still pass as a going out look, e.g. the orange dress, as her entire style is very glamorous, yet not too difficult to aspire to or recreate.
